"What is there to the eye, that is what you see in my images. I don't like to stage a photograph; the image shall be natural. Most of my motifs are still, peaceful and of natural character. I try to capture the moment as clean as possible and with a minimum of interaction and influence from the surroundings. Nature has always been a huge inspiration to my photography. It always seems to offer an array of objects, shapes and colours in a non-staged environment. Since my photographs are an "in the moment" creation, the motifs are very different. Landscape and architecture are predominant genres though"
I studied photography in Western Australia at Mt Lawley in year 2000. My background is in Black & White.
My preference was and is, to work with slide film. However, nowadays it is so simple to work with the digital camera that most of my recent images are digital. My aim is to scan my "older" images and add to this website.
During my photography studies at Mt Lawley I met my partner, who is a full-time artist. Have a look at his website. His artwork is fantastic www.alexanderlee.artspan.com
